Information on Delivery

DELIVERY IS NOW FREE IN (almost) ALL CASES
(almostNO MATTER WHAT YOU ORDER,
(almost) NO MATTER WHERE YOU SEND IT IN THE UK. 

We know how it is in these troubled times, and removing delivery fees is our attempt to help! 

Unfortunately, we do have to ask for a delivery fee on perishable items, this is to ensure that they reach you safely with enough ice. We also have to ask a small shipping contribution (less than half of what we pay!) to send to any of the Crown Dependencies, to the Scottish Highlands/Islands, the Isle of Wight or to Northern Ireland because of the greater costs of sending there.  Unfortunately, we cannot send any of our baked goods to these locations due to the additional time it takes to arrive. Genuinely sorry about that.

Shipping Rates: 
Mainland UK/Domestic: No charge
Perishables: £3.99
Isle of Wight and the Scottish Highlands: £5.99
Northern Ireland, Crown Dependencies,
Island of Scilly and the Scottish Islands : £7.99

Upsettingly, we are currently prohibited from shipping to Northern Ireland. This is entirely due to the legislation post-Brexit - We're so sorry. 

Once your order is in, it will be sliced, packed, and sealed by hand and then handed over to a green DPD courier service Monday to Wednesday, for arrival the following day. Any orders received after 10am on Wednesday, especially if they contain perishable items (like our Ham) will likely arrive early the week following. Please make sure that you let DPD know an appropriate safe place even if you anticipate being at home. This is the best way to prevent any chance of your potentially perishable order disappearing into the Hades of a courier warehouse!

TIMING

We usually require 2 days’ notice to process and pack orders, except during our Christmas closure. So if you order on Monday, you can reasonably expect your order on Wednesday unless we contact you to let you know otherwise. Orders received after 10am on Wednesday or over the weekend can reasonably be expected to arrive on the Tuesday following. Bank Holidays can extend our turnaround time to three days.  Please contact us if you wish to place a last minute order and we will do our best to accommodate you. While we strive to send out all orders as quickly as possible - we do ask for your patience once a package leaves our hands and is with our chosen delivery partner. Large Larder Boxes, because of their size, can take up to 6 working days to arrive. 

 

If you need a package delivered for a specific date (i.e. during Christmas) - please note this request in the notes section during check out.

 

At our busiest times of year, such as Easter and Christmas, delivery can take an extra one to three days. Whenever buying for an important event, we recommend requesting delivery at least two days prior to the event in case of unforeseen delays.

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee any delivery date - though we will do our very, very best! 

It can take up to a week for deliveries to Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands. These may occasionally be sent by Royal Mail depending on whether DPD runs a service to your area.
